December 3, 2021
Hello there,
How are you entering the last month of the year? Here are some things holding my thoughts and attention as we enter December.
1.
I told my Patreon people that I am already holiday tired. I want to retreat, even though I've been in grief and healing retreat this whole year. Although it is a different kind of retreat I am wanting also. I want the sparkle and the lights, oh the lights, and a bit of spiked nog, but mostly I want to hold inner vigil with my soul's becoming. I don't even know what that means exactly, but
that is what I want for myself this Yule season.
What are wanting for yourself as this year comes to a close?
2.
As you may know, each month I draw a Major Arcana card from the Tarot as a guide or place of reflection for the month. December brings the realm of The Empress, and with her heavily pregnant belly it seems a good time to create space for creative gestation and soul vigil.

3.
On the theme of dark womb gestation and growth, I'll be spending my weekend Dreaming in the Dark, a self study retreat created by Hiro Boga for dreaming into the depths of life and work. I have not done this for years but now seems a good time.
4.
This poem by Laura Kelly Fanucci via @thismissygrace on Instagram. If "God" is too churchy for you, change to what ever name holds the unifying source of all love and life is.
When I was a young child
I loved drifting asleep
to the distant clatter
of dishes washed,
the sound of grown-ups
cleaning up the clutter
of another day lived...
5.
A wish for your week:

May moments of quiet tending bring dreamy enchantment to your days.
