Hello there,
I don't have anything pithy to say about the state of things. It's a lot. So here are a few little things, that aren't really so little when you think about it.
1.
The tiniest, most delicate spring blossoms are emerging even as we are having the coldest nights yet this season. Nature is a lesson in how delicate does not always mean weak or fragile. We are also nature. Resilience, beauty, ferocity, and yes delicacy too, are born into us.
2.
Are we the cause of the harm our ancestors did? No. But we can, and need to be a bridge for healing it. We can do the hard work of facing pain and injustice. We must if we want a better world. It has never been more important. Watch this, by way of Viola Davis. It is not what you expect and
it will shred your heart open in the most important way. Remorse and grief for the wrongs of injustice no matter how painful will not kill us, it will open the road to liberation and freedom. Have some tissue.
3.
My friend's baby needs a new hat so I knit one the other afternoon. I may not be able to stop bombs but I can make something to keep a precious human warm.
Pattern is Checkered Textured Topper by Kate Oates. Yarn, unknown. It doesn't look like much here but it is adorable beyond rational understanding when on, and I have it on mom authority that this hat will stay on a very active baby.
4.
5.
A blessing for your week:
(from the Animal Wisdom Tarot)
May you be to drawn to the flame of your own imaginations and cunning.
