It's been quite a time these past few weeks. Back pain, Covid, and then a broken tooth last night, I'm frazzled. My body needs help. While I could write a typical five things message to you, grind something out for the sake of consistency, because grind is what it would take this week, grinding is not why either of us are here.
What is needed is self-kindness, the kind of kindness that knows when to push and when to stop and put the oxygen mask on. Consistency and productivity have their place and their rewards, but so does knowing when to stop.
This week, for me, is a time to stop and tend myself. What that looks like is a lot of napping because Covid fatigue is real, and seeing the doctor about my back, and the dentist about my broken tooth, and listening to my inner voice before outer ones. Self-care is not always sexy and fun, but always soul affirming. If you also need some time to tend to yourself, let
this be your invitation.
