How are you doing as we find ourselves in the last month of this year? As the year is
winding down I am starting to feel into what is ending and what wants to arrive. No pressure to figure any of it out, just minding the swirling, ready to collect the gems that reveal themselves.
Here are some gems I've already collected. Maybe
there will be some in here for you too.
1.
Own your
quirks, embrace your oddities, peruse your interests.
Don't let anyone tell you what you love it too weird, or nerdy, or that you are the only one with such tastes. Well they can tell you, can't stop some people
from spouting off about things that are not their concern, but trust your interests over others opinions. I am continually growing into this truth.
Case in point: The Knitters Oracle. Look at the colors! Awesome, right? It is a blend of two of my deep loves, divination and knitting. What some have seen as my quirks or oddities. Admittedly this is very niche, but aren't all of our quirks and oddities?
What are yours? The things that make you different, maybe odd to some?
2. Time to pull out the
holiday mug(s). Drinking my morning tea out of the right mug just makes me happy. Again, quirks.
3. It is time for one of my favorite end of year rituals, a My Word Goddess Reading from Amy Palko. I've done this every year since she started, with the exception of the last two I think. Grieving had me in an entirely different kind of ritual where holidays were something to get through rather than mark. It is nice to be looking forward to them again, and I've missed having a goddess myth as a touchstone for my year. I am eagerly awaiting who will step forward for me
now.
I have a couple of others rituals that help me grounded thought the year. I draw a Major Arcana card as my theme for the year, and then one monthly as support. I also do a ritual where I burn the old inner
contracts I want to release and create new ones to hold my intentions for who I am becoming. I keep reminders tucked away and in plain sight to remind me.
If you use them, what kinds of touchstones do you have to
keep you connected through the year?

May creativity and vitality visit you in beautiful and luminous ways.
Until next
time, Sandi
