We are still at the effects of atmospheric rivers here in California. Although the storms
have been less intense this week here in Sonoma County, flooding is still a huge problem throughout the state with more storms on their way. I am very grateful to be warm and dry and safe, cozied up with warm beverages and naps to make up for lost sleep due to loud stormy nights.
I hope you are also warm and dry and safe and that you are finding contentment and comfort in simple things. Maybe even a nap or two. Here are my things to share with you this week. As always I hope you enjoy them.
1.
It is Friday the 13th. I like witchy vibes the number 13 and Friday the 13th, but did you know that the fear of Friday the 13th is paraskavedekatriaphobia? If you want to know how to pronounce that mouthful you can find out here.

With all the rain I've been listening to what the element of water has to say. These are the questions I've been letting guide me: Where am I flowing? Where am I overflowing and where is my flow blocked? What can be washed away?
What am I feeling?
I am looking at my home and noticing things that want to shift places. Papers want to filed, shelves want to be rearranged, things want to be flushed out. It feels like a stream trying to find a more organic path. One could say it is New Year, New You decluttering and tidying, but if you know me you know that is not my
thing. This it feels more flowing. The water metaphor feels soothing and brings fluidity and ease into something I am generally very challenged by. I am letting the river of it take me were I need to go.
3. What element or elements are you most present to right
now? Which might you want to experience more? What messages might it have for you? If you have not already downloaded Gentle January and want to explore what the elements have for you, click here or below.
4. As things are settling out post holidays I am craving a more consistent creative practice again. Expressing our creativity is healing, affirming, expanding, and while sometimes humbling it is also deeply self honoring.
I have set up a couple of Must Meet-Up times over on Patreon this month to have a wee bit of structure. I'd love for you to join me if you also want to deepen your creative practice. Details are here or click
below.

A blessing for your week:

May you see what can change, what you can do, who you can be, even in the midst of challenge and hard times. May you always see the next step before you.
Until next time, Sandi
A request: If you enjoy five things friday will you share it with those you feel might also? I would love to have them receive these thoughts and bits of ordinary magic. Thank
you!
