Hello there,
It's Friday, it's raining, I've been napping and resting and healing. Here are some tiny things and wee bits that have helped me through he week. I hope you enjoy them also.
1.
I had a ridiculous amount of messy play making paint out of soy milk and earth pigments and sloshing it around on fabric. These may or may not become more finished work with additional layers of paint and stitching but I know more will come.

There is value in trying new things, making messes, trying again, and letting the process be enough. At some point mastery will come. In my case it may be along while and I look forward to the journey.
What messes are you willing to make to move towards mastery?
2. The ability to look deeply is the root of creativity to see past the ordinary and mundane and get to what might otherwise be invisible.

3.
Still not feeling 100% from my cold-like-thing-that-is-not-Covid-but-more-than-a-cold so lots of naps and
lots of TV have been my healing actions of choice.Ms. Marvel on Disney+ and The Extraordinary Attorney Woo on Netflixare excellent. Both are heartwarming peeks into other cultures, both highlight that it is our differences that make us powerful and amazing. The stories of a Muslum American teen with superpowers and an Korean attorney with autism don't have anything in common but each in their way speak to belonging and being yourself, even when those things seem in conflict with each other and the world.
4.
I know food, diet, wellness are dicey subjects. They are personal and often areas that hold struggle and trauma. Navigating the hype and
conflicting information is frustrating. The Maintenance Phase podcast is like sitting down with your very smart, slightly snarky friends to separate solid science and research from the mania of diet culture and fat phobia.
