five things friday: bracelets, stitches, soul of the earth

Hello there,
We are in the midst of another atmospheric river which means oh so much water coming down
from the sky. The theme is: stay warm and dry, drink tea. Here are few things to share as I do so. I hope you enjoy.
1.
It was my mother's birthday Wednesday, International Women's Day. I love that her birthday is also a day of recognizing the power and gifts the world's women bring. Somehow seems just right.
2.
I had a thought the night before that maybe I was ready to take off the bracelet I have worn since I found it in her things a couple of days after she died. A mobius loop with The Lord's Prayer on it. I shooed the thought away because that seemed silly. I've worn it for over two years
and to remove it somehow would mean I was over losing her. That grief had gone away and I was on my way to forgetting.
The next morning I pulled out a brace to help rest and heal my very overused thumb. I put it
on and found I could not wear it and the bracelet together. So I took the bracelet off to wear the brace. When I went to put the bracelet back on it just, didn't, feel, right, anymore.
I could feel my mom saying it was ok to let go, to move on, to put some things aside so that others may have space. It diminishes nothing. So here I am, in another stage of
grieving.
Being human is such a tender thing. Take care of your tenderness.
3.
Today is day 50 of my 100 day stitchbook project. 15 minutes a day, five days per page. It is a milestone to reach the half way point. While 100 days is a big commitment, the brilliance is in have tiny steps so doable it is hard to not do them. I am a huge fan of the tiny step approach to change.
Day 45. Moon flowers and stars over snow mountains and meadow flowers
My Instagram looks like stitching account right now, but it is nice to have place to see the journey unfold. There is something magical about seeing the accumulation of tiny choices over time aligned with an intention.
What change is worth taking very tiny steps towards?

I am looking forward to being part of The Nature Talks this weekend, March 10-12. The theme is The Soul of the Earth and will be about reconnecting our relationship to the natural world.
I'll be hosting a breakout session on Saturday, March 11 after a presentation on tree nests. What is a tree nest? I know it is a way to encourage the rewilding of honeybees and I am excited to learn more.
As part of the conference I am offering a 15% discount on a 30 or 60 minute Lumina Guidance session and I want to extent that you also. Use code NatureTalks15 at checkout. The code will work for the next few months.
I know this is all very late notice but I hope you will check it out the conference and if you have some time over the weekend join me in connecting to "the soul of the earth."

A blessing for your week:

May humility offer a perspective to see what is needed rather than what is wanted.
