Hello there,
Another week, more rain, more tragedy, and my never ending cold. Is it any wonder I've
been seeking out comfort, inspiration, and reminders of goodness. Not to bypass but to stay tethered to the wholeness of life. Please enjoy this little sampling.
1.
Grab some tea or other favorite beverage, settle in, and let Marin Shaw tell you the story of Valmon the Bearand about how
we are wedded to the wild. Every bit of this is beauty, hope, and grounding in the real of us and nature.
2.
Because it feels like it will always be cold and rainy here I thought having some hot chocolate at the ready would be a good idea. I was right. Hunter Hammersen, a delightful knit designer and general delightful soul included this recipe for chocolate paste with her monthly roundup. It is fantastic and goes great with a bit of storytelling (see #1). The recipe is at the bottom so be sure to scroll down through all the lovely knits.
3.
My friend Nik does the most delightful and whimsical art. I found a tiny stash of her drawings and this one is giving me just he right amount of
whimsy.
A bit whimsy is a homeopathic balm for hard times and tragic news. It doesn't fix the hard stuff but it does open a
door to some magic that can remind us that goodness is worth fighting for. Even when it seems nothing will change. It has for me this week.
