About blossoms and deceptively fragile natures

Luscious Soulful Beauty: March 9, 2017

Hello Blossoming One,

I am obsessing over the tree outside of my bedroom window right now. Actually I am pretty much always obsessing over this tree. There is no season of the year it does not comfort and inspire with its beauty and ever changing form.

Right now it is coming into bloom and I am utterly captivated! Each day more and more tiny buds burst into deceptively fragile looking blossoms.

"Deceptively" being key here. After some warmer weather the first blossoms made their appearance. And then Sunday we had hail and rain and cold and so much wind! Yet those delicate kisses of springtime held tight. In fact, that whole day more and more blossoms burst forth. The harsh weather could not keep back this surge of life.

It is so easy to think that circumstances need to be perfect in order for us to bloom. If we wait until there is a guarantee that no strong winds will blow against us all will be well. While it is true that timing and preparation are critical for big change and new ventures of heart and devotion (that tree is not going to pop into bloom in October, after all), we can withstand much more turbulence along the way of our dreams coming to life than we might think.

When the idea, the vision, the quest of your heart is ready to take on the next phase, it is ready to go! Yes, our desires, our creative expressions, our true wishes are tender and vulnerable. There is a delicacy to them, like the new blossoms gracing my view. But also, they have a fierce determination. You can feel it in the pulse of energy; a particular kind of pressure that builds inside that beg us to take action. It is not anxiety or impatience. It is the urge of life to grow.

It is in our nature to bloom and burst forth new cycles of life.

Make no mistake. Delicate is not the same as weak. Or fragile. Or frail. Your desires may be delicate, almost etherial in the first stages of becoming real, but they have a rugged core of evolutionary brilliance to survive. Give them the right environment and care, they will grow.

Can you can trust this more than fear the possibility of, perhaps the inevitability of, harsh winds along the way? If you are like me, somedays yes, and others not so much. I do know this: Return to your elemental nature and lean into the wisdom of organic timing and deep nourishment. This deep place of home within will support you. It is how the tree outside my window knows who to put on such a glorious reveal of beauty, resiliency and strength. If you need or want it, reach out for support. My tree lives in the right place and is tended to in the ways that supports its every changing cycles of life. You deserve the same.

Much love until next time,
Sandi

If you are seeking more of your own elemental nature, I have openings for Personal Coaching and Lumina Guidance sessions. My full menu of offerings are here. Please be in touch if there is anyway I can support your own unfolding, becoming, self.

“My coaching session with Sandi was….. hard to describe. It felt like tuning in to a wise guide, and at the same time I wasn’t led, no words were put into my mouth – Sandi’s questions were so startlingly to the point that they took my breath away. The provision of a recording of our session means that each time I listen to my own words emerging in response to Sandi’s questions, each time, I receive another, deeper, insight into my own wisdom." Mary Lunnen
