five things friday: talking clouds and lavender lemonade

Hello there,
It's been one of those weeks
that have slipped away. No appointments. Nothing urgent to tend to. I felt unfocused and drifty. Life ebbing more than flowing. I notice how much I want to find something significant and important to say. Be wise and insightful my mind demands.
And yet...
Sometimes, often times,
maybe most times, life is just a series of small moments that don't have to be anything other than what they are. In striving for the grand and important it is easy to miss the rhythm of days that hold us.
1.
I skipped work one afternoon and went for a
walk.
The clouds had things to say. I don't know exactly what as nature speak doesn't always translate into human language speak. My heart however, understands exactly.
2.
Tucked in a little breezeway some found blessings in the form of a shrine:
"Mother Mary hear our prayers..."
3.
These became lavender Meyer lemon syrup and is all the more delicious because they where gifted from a friend's tree.
Might it be a little too chilly for lemonade? Does that stop me?
4.
Perhaps the week did not just slip by, but instead was filled with small moments that flew under my notice until I slowed down enough to find them. I guess this is why I take so many pictures of ordinary things and moments. Of skies that know more than any of us ever will. Of lemons in the morning sun. Of humble shrines.
All found moments calling from my camera reel reminding me that weeks, that life, does not "slip by." Seemingly mundane moments that easily melt into an unnoticed background, they gift their magic upon reflection. Isn't it amazing we can carry in our hand a way to both capture and remember the ordinary holding the magic moments? To be clear, the magic is already, always there and here. Our
attention, our reflections, our contemplation allows it in.
It all has me dreamy for a shared journey of gathering these easily overlooked tid bits of life...
