I am not, as I know I have
expressed before, a summer person. Even so, sometimes I am taken by how the ripe joy unique to this season will drip over me. Sometimes the too hot days I just want to be over hold a kind of magic that is lost when wishing for different weather. I shared some of these moments in a now public post over on Patreon
and I want to share them here with you too.

1.
Dreamy dreams and hazy wishes, whispers of visions not yet formed dancing in the long twilight of longer summer days.
2. Sitting on the cool grass while children eat yogurt with cinnamon, draw chalk masterpieces of scribbles on the walkway, and reach with sticky fingers to play with the treasures hanging on my necklace.
3. Wishing I had my phone to capture the magic of golden hour light illuminating the impossibly blue eyes of a smiling baby looking up at me, but instead I let this bliss saturate my heart
where it will be remembered more faithfully.
4. Allowing the world to meet me in tender places.
Allowing tears to flow in the outrageous beauty of of all.
Allowing summer magic in.
