Hello there,
It is a mash up of a list
this week. Sometimes life is a mash up. Bits and pieces of this and that, threads and knots make up the days. It all sorts and weaves itself in time but being in the jumbly mash up is part of it. So let's be here in it.
I am so excited. The journey of its creation has been the magic of having what had been a dream move through the virtual spaces of computer programs and files
into physical form able to be held, shuffled, and drawn from.
I really, really hope the deck finds its way into the hands of those who feel the pull of the sensuous, the soul, of cultivating a life of richness and beauty. More details are down below.
2. Whimsy is healing.
I am making myself an Emotional Support Chicken™. Because, don't we all need one? It is my day after the election cast on.
Right now it looks like this,
She doesn't look like much now, but thanks to some random Noro yarn in my stash she will soon enough.
3.
My latest Kdrama's have been balm during the intensity of this time.
A Virtuous Business is about a group of small town women in '90 Korea who start their own business selling adult products. It is charming, funny, touching, and says a lot about social norms, female friendship, and taboos around
women's sexual empowerment. Oh, and the love story is pretty sweet. On Netflix.
My Roommate is a Gumiho is about a nine tail fox's journey to becoming human. A funny, touching, romance with some folklore and magic. On Amazon Prime and
Viki.
Can you tell I have a type these days? Life is heavy, romance and laughter help.
4.
Lots of emotion and self-tending check-ins are
happening.
What emotion(s) am I feeling? What do they want to communicate to me?
Am I rested?
Am I drinking water?
Am I talking to my people?
Am I getting into the fresh air at least once a day?
Am I moving my body? Am I eating reasonably well?
Some days get more yes answers than others. Caring for ourselves so that we can care about those things and people we care about, it is a process and a practice. What are your practices of care?
In all its joys and challenges life has a richness to it, what I call the sensuality of living. I created The Sensuality of Living Oracle Deck to guide you into the nuances of this richness and offer
ways to deepening the experience of life lived through the senses, emotions, and wholeness.
The deck holds 52 invitations to a life of nourishment and beauty- a path to your personal sensuality of living. Use them as part of your daily practice or when you want inspiration and guidance.
