five things friday: bits of things, humble and good

Hello there,
March is a breath away. I
woke up with a scratchy throat and sniffles and lamented the start of a cold but then heard birds singing and was reminded that allergy season is here. The holidays seem like years ago and at the same time it seems too early for Spring blossoms. The paradox of time.
Here I am, inside the paradox, feeling my through, with a few bits of some things humble and good to share. Shall we?
1.
When there is no bottom to the free fall where does hope live?
In the neon pinky-orange sunsets and Prussian blue tears weaving between newly emerging spring grass. Hope, and just a whisper of joy.
2.
I shared with my Patreon people
about how I am working a tiny art journal. I have stared writing a word or phase on the page as away to break up the blank page syndrome. Simple words and good watercolors, add some tiny paper scraps of bright paint. It doesn't take much to come back to myself. It is remembering to do so that is the practice.
How do you come back to yourself? Do more of that.
3.
I have a mix of rose and orange flower water in a spray bottle on my desk. I spray and let the mist fall around me when I feel I need a bit of fresh energy during the day. The harder the world gets to more important and nourishing these tiny rituals of beauty and healing become.
It is really easy to make your own. You can usually find rose water and orange flower water in the international food or cocktail section of the grocery store. In a small spray bottle mix equal parts of both waters together, or adapt as desired. If you want you can add some alcohol as a preservative, although it is not really necessary. It smells heavenly.
4.
Can Korean dramas help us talk about mental health? This Tedx talk by therapist Jeanie Chang makes the case for yes. She also talks about the necessity of "jeong", the Korean concept of a kind of deep belonging, kinship, and love that does not have an exact English translation.
Some recommendations of dreams that handle deep emotions and have that feeling of jeong? Why yes, I'd love to offer some. These range from
intense drama to comedy, often in the same show:
I know Korean dramas may not be your thing but my larger point is that our entertainment can reflect back to us a way
to meet our struggles leaving us feeling less alone. Stories have power, especially when they show us our own experience in a different way. It can make it easier to talk about our pain and reach out for help. When the world is a big dumpster fire teetering on top of a clown car, this is no small thing.
Try a kdrama. Binge your favorite movie or show. Let them offer balm and
support.
5.
A blessing for your week:
(Arcana Folia Oracle Deck by Nora Paskaleva)
May you heal that which is wounded, repair that which is broken, and reconnect with that which holds your heart.
Until next time, Sandi

Some things for you.
Time to talk-
I still have time opened up to connect and hear what is simmering and challenging for you. Kind of
"hopes and dreams" meets "welcoming space for real talk about what is hard" meets "clarity and next steps." I am not selling anything, I really want to know what is up in your world and offer what I can.
You’ll get a chance to talk through what you want, where you are stuck, get some insight and next steps, and I'll get to know what your needs and struggles are so I can better hone my offerings.
It can look like:
coaching on a stuck place or a dream vision
a card pull and deep dive into what it means for you
what those intense emotions are trying to say and how you can understand them better.
exploring your creative life and practice
or ? You tell me. What questions or exploration can I help you with?.
That's it. If working further together a good fit we
can talk about that, but really I want these calls to be a place to discover and get support. Let me know if this is for you. Reply to this email or contact me here and we will schedule soem time together. Feel free to pass this along to anyone you feel could use this right now. I'd love
getting to know them.
