Hello there,
I am savoring this time of
year when the days are still warm and the nights have just enough chill to let me know we are fully in Autumn. I am gently tending to my slowly increasing energy and capacity, and peeking a bit more into the world, which looks like vision new things and creating a couple of them. Time will tell what comes to full fruition.
A theme of my hermiting and healing time these past months is
asking the question of what fills my cups. Those things that care for your energy and your health, that bring joy and fulfillment, and grow resilience. There are the big things, better rest, better boundaries, better nutrition, but equally important are the intangible things. The things and choices that even in micro doses feed the soul. Things like whimsy, beauty, creativity, and inner guidance.
And, since it is
Friday, here a few of these intangible, sometimes micro doses of healing bits from the still slowed down place.
Shall we?
1.
We are in transition season.
We have past Halloween which means it is holiday craft fair season. My friend Sam makes these quirky waterless snow globes and had a table at a local church
fair. They make me smile.
Her charmingly twisted, quirky vibe was not the best match for the church older crowd, but enough of a match that many of her globes sold. Even when we think no one will get us, kindreds will be found in surprising places.
It was fun see her selling
her wares and the young teen in the booth next door ask for a custom turtle globe for her boyfriend. I may have come home with a couple more of her creations waiting for full on Christmas season.
I find the process of gathering the material and the rhythm of the stitching soothing. It is grounding and meditative. I can only send my roots down so much and I am not the sit on a
pillow type.
Do you have any grounding or meditative practices that don't look like sending roots into the earth or sitting on a pillow? They all count.
3.
The Star.

Universal Waite Tarot, Dreaming Way Tarot, Animal Wisdom Tarot
As I have talked about before, each month I pull a Major Arcana card as a theme or guide for the month. For November it is The Star. Illumination, renewal, sacred source... yes, please.
What practices do you have for reflection and guidance?
4.
Late bloomer.
I thought the roses were done for the season a couple of weeks ago but this little beauty wasn't.
Reminder, it is never too late to bloom and beauty does not live in perfection.
5.
A blessing for your week:

May your dearest wishes bloom into vows, may those vows become the prayers of your soul.
