Hello there,
After many weeks of intense storms, I am savoring the crisp,
clear days. There is something about bare trees against a winter sky.
Also, whew! There is a lot, a lot, a lot right now, the world being what the
world is.
How are you doing?
How are your emotions?
Let's do a little check in, shall we?
1.
How are your boundaries?
Your anger will tell you. Know that it is not the enemy. It will let you know when something important needs protection. If it is up, look to where your boundaries have been challenged or broken. What needs to be valued or repaired?
We all need some healthy anger right now. Not violence, not harm- the ability to clearly value and guard what is precious and vulnerable.
2.
Does your sadness and grief have a place to flow?
Let the waters of your sadness, despair and grief move the weight of what you
are carrying into the earth. Cry, rest, let go.
We all need a place and a way to release the weight of what we are carrying.
3.
What can you practically do about what keeps you awake at night?
Fear and anxiety focus you on what needs attention now. What is essential? Make a list. Make the call. Make a plan. Feel your feet on the ground. Take a step. And then another.
We all need to keep what is most important, the most important thing. Everything else will work its way out.
4.
What is bringing you joy and happiness?
Indulge. Connecting with goodness and hope affirms that a better world is not only possible, but is also here now. It renews the soul. If we reject or put off enjoying the good because there is so much bad, we only get to live a partial life. The point of it all is our wholeness.
We all need to feel the pleasure
of being alive, be it in tiny bits or big chunks.
Again, I'll ask, how are you doing? What needs tending in your tender heart? If you want to share, I am here to listen. Hit reply and let me know. '
