five things friday: music, watercolor, creating, re-aligning

Hello there,
It seems that truly
recovering from severe burnout and ongoing shingles pain takes a lot time and patience. As I continue to heal and shift my life to better support my actual capacity rather than the capacity I think I should have, five things friday will continue to be occasional rather than weekly for the time being.
I am taking the advice of my own teaching. Rest is holy. Boundaries are kind and powerful. Connecting to the
wisdom of the emotions and personal creative wells will open the path forward. Even when the emotions are intense, the world is a mess, and that path forward is shrouded in fog.
It takes courage to create a life of your own rather than follow an expected template for success. If you are also in a season of change and re-alignment with the deep call of your soul, I see you. I champion you. It is no small thing to stand in
the truth of your longings.
Here are some things that are feeding my soul, strengthening my courage, and helping me see goodness in what feels like ever darkening times.
Working with watercolor is a great practice in flowing with what can and can not be controlled. Art lives here.

I am creating a new oracle deck.
Liminal spaces, personal poetry, and a new medium (digital collage). The process is rich and a vulnerable creative
stretch. It will be some time before it is done but I am enjoying taking the slow road to completion.

A note from my journal:
The goal is not to get my head above the churning of the sea waves but to get my feet back onto the solid
land of the beach.
I realize I have lost track of what being fully nourished and rejuvenated is. I know I am not the only
one. We are pulled in so many directions, bombarded by so much information all - the - time.
I have mistaken getting my head above the crashing waves of a too busy, too obligation filled life with renewed and nourished energy. It is a longer journey to actually reach solid shore with actual renewed energy and a nourished spirit.
Burnout forces the question of what am I,
or you if you resonate, willing to say yes to and no to so that all of your cups may be filled. The exploration can be more confronting than it seems.

A blessing for your week, spooky season style:
