Hello there,
I don't have must to say right now. Not because I am not
thinking and feeling deeply, I am. I just don't have words yet for all the thinking and feeling. It is ok to be quiet. To let thoughts and emotions hang in the in-between until they are ready to form words that take root on a page or take flight on the air.
There is so much happening in the outer world, it is necessary to find time to keep quiet counsel with yourself. In the quiet, inner places, it is wise to keep noticing the
tiny things and moments that make the days rich, and maybe even a little grand.
It is a mix this week. Shall we?

In a world that tells us we need to be hyper connected all the time, there is room to trust time and heart to hold the bonds of true friendship.
The last time I saw Suzy in person was at our wedding 26 years ago. We met working at a restaurant in our early 20's and became
(unlikely to some) deep and dear friends. She saved my life.
As things go, life separated our paths but when she came to a local art and craft fair to show her beautiful jewelry, we were able to see each other in person again. Of course there were tears. Of course there
was catching up. But mostly, there was a coming home to who we were as young women and who we are now as older ones.
And, the truth that distance and time can not dull love and true friendship.

I am working on something slow and intuitive. Some intentional stitching with an idea but no outcome in mind. I am taking inspiration from Fleur Woods and her Take Two course.
I am a bit rusty with my stitches, but the rhythm is soothing. The pop and drag of the needle and floss through the fabric is very satisfying. It is nice to have something simple to pick up and put down easily. A place to let thoughts and feelings float for a bit.
A bit of gentle creativity is good medicine for tender times.

A blessing for your week:
